01/03/25 | In case you wanted to see my laundry...

One of my resolutions for this year was to get my style to reflect who I am. I want to get more creative and wear only the things that make me happy. Isn't it funny how we sometimes dress for other people?  This year I want every article of clothing I buy to be something that I genuinely like, and that reflects my style. I have a lot of clothes that I can't seem to get rid of,but I never wear them. Another resolution of mine is to get organized and to de-clutter. Plus,I really cannot buy anymore clothes until I get rid of a TON of stuff. Today I focused on the dresser. I condensed my t-shirts to the two stacks that are pictured, but I kept a few shirts for sentimental reasons(I know,I need help.) I grabbed up my camera and took some photos because guys! The colors! I also did my sock and underwear drawer, but no one wants to see that.;)

Oh yea! My mom gave me a Crosley record player for Christmas,so I have been hunting for albums every time I get the chance. Today I found the College Classics album in a used book store for .50. It is big brass band music and I l.o.v.e. it! I have also found a Jackie Gleason and Lena Horne to add to the collection. I think everyone should own a record player. Album hunting is so fun!

Current readings | Growing Up Duggar

I finished this book a few weeks ago,and let me tell ya….it was amazing! I have admired these women ever since I saw their show on TLC. They are such positive examples. They aren't perfect and they admit it,but the strive to give God their very best.
In this book they talk a lot about their family and what growing up in such a large family is like. But they also talk about relationships. Not just with the opposite gender, but with your family, friends, culture, country, and your world. It was really inspiring to hear their stories. Each one of these women are different, and they talk about their differences, and different experiences. The book has contributions from each of them. I was particularly inspired by the chapter,"Your relationship with the world." They realize that, even though they may be one person, with God's help they can impact the world. This book touched my heart in such a sweet way. I was deeply moved and inspired to try to make a difference in the world. This is a good good read!
